Troubled

It is time the body of Christ starts to be proactive instead of reactive, it troubles me to hear people ( Christians and non-Christians ) say how they don't understand how someone could be that evil, how somebody could be that violent, how somebody could steal from that nice old lady, or how did my son get mixed up in this. This world is in need of a reformation prisons are overflowing everywhere, drug, violence, murder, sexual immorality, people trafficking, the list goes on and on. The bottom line is Christians as a whole over time have dropped the ball we are being reactive, when we need to be proactive, we have come to live a life where we have avoided drawing attention to ourselves, it is time we start reaching the youth of this world, teaching them about Christ, it is time we take a stand and let the world know we are here!

Fear

Fear is something we have all experienced from time to time, fear is something that Satan uses against us quite often. Fear comes in so many ways griping use like a vise, keeping us from faith, from success, from love, from a promotion, from marriage, and the list goes on and on. If we continue to let fear grip our lives we'll miss out on what God has in store for us, for Jesus says in the bible Matthew 8:26 (NIV)
[26] He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?”....... So the next time u feel fear creeping up on you remember this passage remember that God has a plan, remember the footsteps poem, and that he is in control, embrace him and see what kind of exhilarating journey lies ahead.

How do you picture Jesus

Recently somebody I know posted a pic on twitter of Jesus with a bandolier and a gun, and a smoke which we all know Jesus didn't smoke, but this pix inspired me, I thank him for posting. This leaves me with the question of how does the general public picture Jesus, more importantly how does the church portray Jesus, it seams that the perception of Christ is passive sort of wimpish, a push over, but if we read the bible we know this to be inaccurate Christ was passionate, a teacher, a warrior for the kingdom of God, a good example of this is Mark 11:15-17 this shows the passionate side and the warrior side at the same time, shows how Jesus was willing to stand up for what was right and run the money changers out of the temple, this is just one example. So let's be careful to how we portray the image of Jesus to people we come in contact with.

Journey to man hood

Journey to man hood is something I don't think I have fully gone thru yet, not had very much guidance in this area and have suffered in certain areas of my life because of this. At this point in my life i am praying for God to father me into this journey and I am feeling God move so strongly in my life Im praying for a yielded heart so as to be guided by the spirit of God, praying for that awesome journey, the kind that only God can take you down. Something that has help me tremendously is a book by John Eldredge called Fathered by God

War

Recently I have been reading a series of books from John Eldredge, (I'm currently in the fathered by God book), teaching us how to become men like God intended for us to be and thru the course of all thing I'm asking God to father me into manhood and of course as I draw closer to God the enemy is waging war against me spiritually, and all the while God has placed a longing in my heart, not quite sure if it is a calling or what but, I feel so strongly about it that I must seek it out. There is a part in the book that stands out, so much so that I almost started to sob, he quotes a passage from the bible Ecclesiastes 3:7-12 (NIV)
[8] a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace. And I feel like God spoke to me at that moment about the current war against terrorism that USA is waging. See I feel that this war has a deeper meaning than what some people think , I feel that the main stream media would like most to believe that this war is about oil, but I feel that it is not I feel like God is saying hey the USA is a nation that was founded by Christians our constitution and government is based on Christian principals and even thou we may not view the USA as a Christian nation anymore, but I'm here to tell you that there churches and people all over this nation everyday praying for this country, our leaders and our armed services and I tell you God is moving in this nation, stirring the hearts of many, stirring my like nothing I have ever felt before, I believe we are on the verge of a great awaking, and there are other countries that see this, thats y I feel like God is saying hey this war is not about oil this war is about Christians and Islam. It's no secret that Islam religion would like to rid the world of Christian so they can usher in there "messiah" which I and many other Christians believe will be our Antichrist. And I think that is y that passage hit me so hard. Let's continue to pray for this country and it leaders and our protectors.
