What is faith, how do we describe faith, how much faith do we have? We show faith in hundreds of things everyday, but how much faith do we show in God? How many times do we use our brakes on our cars in a days time and yet every time we hit them most of us don't even think about if they are going to work or not, we just have faith that there going to be there when we need them like so many other things in our lives, but yet when it comes to Christianity, God, Jesus and the cross we tend to lack in the faith. Has God ever failed you, some may feel that way, I know I have at times, and now have come to realize the areas I thought God had failed me he had actually protected me, saved me from my own destruction, or had just simply made me wait because I wasn't spiritually ready, failed me God has never! Scientist tell us the earth is millions of years old and that the earth was created by 2 molecules colliding, but they have yet to prove it, they can't recreate it no matter how many millions of dollars they spend on it, the bible tells us exactly how the earth was created, how we were created in God's image so beautiful, and glorious. But yet some believe that it requires more faith to believe than a theory that can't be proven, they say the bible is just parables and that anyone could have written it, but the events in the bible can be proven, after all it is the written word of God! Christianity does not require much faith just a little, the devil has tried to complicate things by "Religion" mans rules and beliefs, but all that is required to be a Christian to be saved is the belief that God sent his only son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins and that he was raised from the dead so that we shall be forgiven and have eternal life, its quite simple! just a little faith that's all. We put more faith in everyday things that we don't even give a second thought to but yet when it comes time to put a little faith in God we are like woo hold on a minute, that's not for me, that's to dangerous, or that's out of my comfort zone, or that's not what I had in mind. Matthew 17:20 (NIV)
[20] He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Just take a moment to pray and think about that verse what a powerful verse!

Grace & Love
John 1:17 (NIV)
[17] For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. Thru the blood of Jesus Christ we are saved by grace, and I think that a lot of time we as Christians get caught up in whats right and wrong, what the law says, but me must remember this passage, and realize that we are not perfect, and just look at the grace God extends to us, it is so beautiful that words can not describe that kind of pure love. Grace so powerful that Romans 10:9 (NIV)
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. I think it is really hard to express how powerful these passages really are for Gods love and grace

Do we have a purpose
Do we have a purpose? This is a good question, recently our Pastor did a sermon on this topic so I thought I would share some thoughts, God put each of us on this earth to fulfill individual callings, each of us have specific talents that could be used for his glory, it's up to us to pursue it, no one gift is more important than the other. God will take it to a level you could never dream of if you are willing to allow him to put u thru the "refiners fire". So if you are at a place in your life were it seams as if you are not important ask God to clarify the gifts that you have, to mold you heart to prepare you for something glorious !

Religion
Religion, what is it, was Jesus about religion? I believe not, i feel like religion is something man made up to feel good about themselves instead of actually stepping out in faith and believing that Christ died on the cross for our sins, it sickens me when christians say you have to live a certain way or dress a certain way or act a certain way or you'll go to hell, that is the devil working against the body of Christ, for there is only one way to heaven, {Romans 10:9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.} acts, and works alone will never get you to heaven with out this belief. God is the only one that can judge a persons life for he is the only one who knows what is really in their hearts, God will work in their life in the things that he feels is wrong, we as christians need to remember this and just be there for people, love them like God loves us, let our actions do the speaking, as the old saying goes actions speak louder than words. Let us remember the way that Christ loves us and is patient with our short comings.

Troubled
It is time the body of Christ starts to be proactive instead of reactive, it troubles me to hear people ( Christians and non-Christians ) say how they don't understand how someone could be that evil, how somebody could be that violent, how somebody could steal from that nice old lady, or how did my son get mixed up in this. This world is in need of a reformation prisons are overflowing everywhere, drug, violence, murder, sexual immorality, people trafficking, the list goes on and on. The bottom line is Christians as a whole over time have dropped the ball we are being reactive, when we need to be proactive, we have come to live a life where we have avoided drawing attention to ourselves, it is time we start reaching the youth of this world, teaching them about Christ, it is time we take a stand and let the world know we are here!

Fear
Fear is something we have all experienced from time to time, fear is something that Satan uses against us quite often. Fear comes in so many ways griping use like a vise, keeping us from faith, from success, from love, from a promotion, from marriage, and the list goes on and on. If we continue to let fear grip our lives we'll miss out on what God has in store for us, for Jesus says in the bible Matthew 8:26 (NIV)
[26] He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?”....... So the next time u feel fear creeping up on you remember this passage remember that God has a plan, remember the footsteps poem, and that he is in control, embrace him and see what kind of exhilarating journey lies ahead.
